2024.07.10th Summer Balance Patch

Greetings Ballers,

This is the FreeStyle2 Development Team.

There will be a balance patch with the July 10th (UTC) summer season update.
We will continue to check for issues after the patch and if needed, apply hotfixes.
Please check the information below for details. And once again, we ask you
for your feedback and opinions regarding the balance changes.

*The Mastery Skills for all positions will be reset.

1) New Skills
A. Fast Back Dribble
SW Position – Crossover Swingman Mastery Skill
Quickly move backwards during drive-through dribble to create distance from the
defense. Dribble state is maintained during this action.
Fast Back Dribble Speed increases based on Drive Speed ↑ Attribute.
(Note: You can use the skill without equipping Fast Back Dribble.)

B. Normal / Enhanced Pull-up Jumper
SW Position – Crossover Swingman Mastery Skill
Allows you to perform an extremely quick jump shot while drive dribbling.
In offensive situations, if the HOME team's C or PF position is not in the
post-push area, the regular Pull-up Jumper skill will be activated.
(You can use the skill only when you have the Pull-up Jumper skill equipped.)

C. Back Roll Turn Pull-up Jumper
SG Position – Crossover Shooting Guard Mastery Skill
Quickly perform a Fade Away shot during a back roll turn.
(Note: When using the 'Back Back Roll Turn 1' skill, you can only use the
'Backroll Pull-Up Jumper' skill if you have the 'Pull-Up Jumper' skill equipped.)

4) Play Logic Balance Changes
A. Timing Fake Conditions Adjustment (Play Logic)
1) In offensive situations, if the HOME team's C or PF position is not in the
post-push area, Timing Fake is not applied.
 - Timing Fake is applied to the SF position’s ‘Technical Shot Master’ regardless
of HOME team’s location.
2) If there is an ‘Away Screen Move Shooting Guard’ in HOME team, Timing Fake
is not applied to ‘Quick Jumper’ in the Mid-Range Shot area.

B. Screen Body Check (Normal Skill)
1) If ‘Away Screen Move’ can be activated (MOVE tag shown), Stamina is greatly
decreased when using Screen Body Check.

C. Diving Throw (Mastery Skill)
1) The shortcut to use is change to [W].
2) The range and release point will be greatly increased compared
to ‘Diving Catch’.

D. Screen: Collision Range↑ (Attribute)
1) The range increased for each Screen: Collision Range↑ Attribute is reduced.
2) Screen: Collision Range’s effectiveness is decreased
when Screen Body Checking.

E. Side Hop Step (Normal/Mastery Skill)
1) Side Hop Step Speed increases based on Drive Speed ↑ Attribute.

F. Character Attribute (Attribute)
1) The difference in Attributes between ‘Power Type’ and
‘Balance Type’ / ‘Shrewd Type’ and ‘Balance Type’ will be decreased.


*The example attribute above represents the basic attribute value for the
Center position, without the unique effect of each character applied.


G. Last Resistance  (Normal Skill)
C, PF, and CT position are not checked under the last resistance
subbone conditions.
(When there are positions other than C, PF, and CT, the use of the
last resistance skill changes.)

H. Move Speed Increase during Defense
1) The existing 'Move Speed Increase during Defense' Mastery is the
same as the 'Move Speed Increase during Defense' stat +19.
2) If the Move Speed Increase during Defense is less than +19,
it is less than the speed of the existing Mastery

5. Bug Fixes
A. Long Range Shot Success Rate Revised
1) Commonly identified as a bug, the issue of relatively long range shots in
certain areas has been resolved.
 
6) Balance Improvements
A. Alley-oop Pass
 - If you are pressing [V], Alley-oop Pass will not activate.

B. Training System
 - The following characters will be added to the Training System.
→ Lukas
→ Aurora
→ Unlimit Jake

C. New Records Added
 - The Season OP and Season DP after a match will be removed and
new records will be added.
→ Jump Ball: The number of Jump Balls obtained, starting from
the beginning of the game. (Excluding overtime)
→ Effective Resistance: An indicator that increases when
effective block resistance is applied to shots from the opponent.
(When multiple players have resisted, the player who have the
highest resistance will be recorded.)
 * Records such as player info, ranking, match stats, and more will be added.

D. Normal/Magic Character Attributes Enhancement
1) All parts that could be obtained through the Parts Collection Event
will be removed.
 - Normal Character Parts
 - Naughty Kitty Parts (Ginger, Nicki, Liu)
 - Black Lightning Parts (Lyn, Nick, James Kim)
 - Team Slam Parts (Gorilla, Michelle, Simon)

2) Unique Effect skills will be added for normal characters.
 - Game Changer Regular Attributes
 - All Stats +3 (All Training Stats +3)

3) Unique Effect skills will be added for magic characters.
 1> Game Changer Regular Attributes
 - All Stats +1 (All Training Stats +1)

 2> Game Changer Extra Attributes
 - Mid.Shot: success%↑ +1
 - 3pt Shot Success Rate ↑ +1
 - Drive Speed ↑ +1
 - Stamina max↑ +1
 - Stamina: recovery↑ +1
 - Move: speed↑ +1
 - Manual Block Range +1
 - Steal Speed ↑ +1

4) Parts of normal/magic characters are deleted and replaced with
unique effect skills. The added attributes may be reduced compared to
before.

- The motion change system in the character performance upgrade allows
you to exchange character motions or adjust insufficient attribute values
according to your preference.
(For more details, please refer to the 'Character Performance Upgrade' update.)
 
5) The unique effects of normal/magic characters can be adjusted for
some attributes and effects through balance patches.
 
6) Balance planning:
- The use of new skills in the training system will be updated later.
