Matchmaking System Improvement Notice

Hello, this is the Freestyle 2 Operations Team.
 
Through user feedback and matchmaking data analysis, we are fully aware that
the current matchmaking environment has not been operating smoothly, causing
inconvenience when trying to enter games.
 
We sincerely apologize to all users who have experienced frustration due to long
or unstable matchmaking.
 
We have been continuously monitoring this issue internally and have conducted
thorough discussions with the development team to identify a more fundamental
improvement.
 
As a result, during the 2/23 (Mon) maintenance, the existing matchmaking
structure will be discontinued and transitioned to a new automatic
matchmaking system.
 
Through this change, we aim to :
- Reduce matchmaking waiting time

- Provide more stable match environments


Party matchmaking will still be supported, allowing users to form teams
and queue together as before.
 
Additionally, while there is currently a feature that matches users with AI during
off-peak hours, we plan to improve this by introducing it as an optional setting
in the future, allowing users to customize their experience according to their
preferences.
 
Even after implementation, we will continue monitoring real gameplay data and
make ongoing adjustments and improvements. We will also actively listen to
and reflect user feedback.
 
We will do our best to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable play
environment.
